Faith G. Miller, Esq., CFL

With more than 30 years of experience representing thousands of clients, Faith Miller is one of New York’s most recognized matrimonial and family law attorneys.  She has represented both adults and children in high-profile cases presenting some of the most complex financial and custodial issues.

Faith began her career as law assistant to Hon. Joseph F. Gagliardi, then the Administrative Judge for New York State’s Ninth Judicial District, covering Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties. She served as an Assistant Westchester County Attorney in the Family Court Bureau where she handled difficult cases involving child abuse and neglect.

Upon entering private practice, she was frequently appointed by judges to represent children in custody, guardianship, and estate proceedings.  In 2013, after three decades of practice, she founded Miller Zeiderman LLP, which has rapidly become one of the largest matrimonial and family law practice groups in the New York metropolitan area.

Clients rely on Faith for her legal skills, acumen and dedication to serving the best interests of her clients. Over the course of her career, she has been consistently recognized as a Super Lawyer by the New York Law Journal and as a Lawyer of Distinction.

Faith is a founding member of the American Academy of Certified Financial Litigators and is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.  She is also a founding member of the Law Guardian (now Attorneys for Children) Association of the Ninth Judicial District. Faith is a zealous and effective courtroom advocate for her clients. However, she recognizes the toll, both financial and emotional, that matrimonial litigation can exact and seeks wherever possible to reach fair and just settlements through negotiation and mediation.

Faith provides legal representation across a broad spectrum of matrimonial and family law issues, ranging from equitable distribution, child support and spousal maintenance, and the myriad of financial issues confronting divorcing couples to domestic violence, child custody, abuse, neglect, inter-state and international custody proceedings and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.  During her extensive career, she has represented clients in hundreds of contested cases in the matrimonial and family courts in the New York metropolitan area. She has also served as appellate counsel on appeals to the Appellate Divisions for both the First and Second Departments.

In addition to her legal practice, Faith has served on numerous court and bar committees, including the Ninth Judicial District’s Gender Fairness Committee.  She is Treasurer and Executive Board Member of the Justice Brandeis Law Society, and is a founding member of the Westchester County Law Guardian Association. She is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the New York State and Westchester County Bar Associations and has participated as a lecturer and panelist in continuing legal education programs. Faith is also a member of the New York State Matrimonial Practice Advisory and Rules Committee, appointed by the Chief Administrative Judge in January 2021.

Faith obtained her legal education at Fordham University School of Law and at the State University of New York, Buffalo Law School, which awarded her a Juris Doctor degree in 1980. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, where she studied Near Eastern languages and literature.
